This impromptu adventure session happened after Jeff proposed to Casey during their short trip to Beaver Creek, Colorado. Casey really wanted engagement photos in Colorado and we made it happen before they returned home! When looking for the perfect location for their adventure session we kept in mind the 10+ inches of snow. . .
Carlo & Sophia called me up, desiring an adventurous couples session in Breckenridge, Colorado, to capture photos of their life together in the place that they met and fell in love. Carlo is originally from Hawaii, and after living in quaint snowy Breckenridge for. . .
For their adventurous outdoor wedding, Malory and Z chose an intimate and secluded venue in the mountains of Marble, Colorado, a VRBO called Marble Lodge on Beaver Lake Retreat Campus. Marble sits on the backside. . .
Let me introduce you to two newlyweds with the last name Godfrey. I love photographing weddings and sometimes I get lucky enough to photograph my close friends tying the knot. I knew this particular bride and groom through several mutual friends. This means I knew just about everyone attending the wedding and. . .
I met Patrick in Breckenridge, CO. The exact day in fact that we also became room mates with 4 other ski-bums. It was quite the introduction as everyone said a short hello and then signed a lease together. With 6 people in the house our living spaces got. . .
Dan is THE sweetest guy. He emailed me asking if I could capture his proposal to Diana. His message was detailed and explained how they met, what their lives were like growing up, and how he desired to make everything in his proposal absolutely perfect for her. I could tell he had a considerate heart and so much love for. . .
woke up the morning of Lorrie and Matt's engagement session to news of snow on the ground. We had been planning a pretty little Fall session for their engagements and not only did we. . .
This Oklahoma family farm engagement was a fun one, as the soon to be bride just so happens to be my best friend from high school! AJ and I have kept in touch throughout the years and when Austin stepped into the picture I knew he was the right guy for. . .
I met Nicholas while hitch hiking across the country with my friend Cassandra. Having mutual friends in Virginia, he bought me a chocolate milk and handed me his knife. "You need this more than I do, just in case, you know." Though no situations arose allowing use of it I was grateful and at the end of our adventure he drove across country to visit; not once, but twice. We became close friends during these times and found that we shared a love for all things outdoors, Jesus, and good fellowship. During one of our cross country convos Nick made mention that he had begun pursuing a very special lady. I was a little wary at first but as time went on it because obvious that they were good, and I mean, really good for one another. I finally met this gorgeous ball of joy when she drove to Colorado with Nick on his third trip West. She has the most beautiful smile and the sweetest heart; she is lovely and the perfect height for my handsome brother. She's a coffee lover and an impactful and intentional friend. I decided pretty quickly that I liked her a lot. Nick had just asked her to marry him before their trip and I was honored to capture a few engagement photos while they were in town. Before leaving they asked me to come back East and photograph their wedding. Umm, yea, guys I'm ALWAYS down to travel! The countdown is almost over now and I'm so excited. I've just arrived in Virginia and already my trip has involved fantastic food, good coffee, intriguing conversations, and warm hugs. These wonderful things still haven't made up for the 1am flight Nick put me on but none of that will matter when these two say I do this Saturday evening. Enjoy browsing through this cheeky chilly engagement session!
