Engagements // Phoenix + Sedona Arizona

I met Patrick in Breckenridge, CO. The exact day in fact that we also became room mates with 4 other ski-bums. It was quite the introduction as everyone said a short hello and then signed a lease together. With 6 people in the house our living spaces got. . .

Mountain Proposal // Frisco, CO

Dan is THE sweetest guy. He emailed me asking if I could capture his proposal to Diana. His message was detailed and explained how they met, what their lives were like growing up, and how he desired to make everything in his proposal absolutely perfect for her. I could tell he had a considerate heart and so much love for. . .

Candace is a fellow wedding photographer in Denver, Colorado. You can see her stunning work here. The two of us had been trying for weeks to meet up and model in front of the others camera, unfortunately our schedules would not allow it. Argh, the end of Summer can. . .

T-5 Days

I met Nicholas while hitch hiking across the country with my friend Cassandra. Having mutual friends in Virginia, he bought me a chocolate milk and handed me his knife. "You need this more than I do, just in case, you know." Though no situations arose allowing use of it I was grateful and at the end of our adventure he drove across country to visit; not once, but twice. We became close friends during these times and found that we shared a love for all things outdoors, Jesus, and good fellowship. During one of our cross country convos Nick made mention that he had begun pursuing a very special lady. I was a little wary at first but as time went on it because obvious that they were good, and I mean, really good for one another. I finally met this gorgeous ball of joy when she drove to Colorado with Nick on his third trip West. She has the most beautiful smile and the sweetest heart; she is lovely and the perfect height for my handsome brother. She's a coffee lover and an impactful and intentional friend. I decided pretty quickly that I liked her a lot. Nick had just asked her to marry him before their trip and I was honored to capture a few engagement photos while they were in town. Before leaving they asked me to come back East and photograph their wedding. Umm, yea, guys I'm ALWAYS down to travel! The countdown is almost over now and I'm so excited. I've just arrived in Virginia and already my trip has involved fantastic food, good coffee, intriguing conversations, and warm hugs. These wonderful things still haven't made up for the 1am flight Nick put me on but none of that will matter when these two say I do this Saturday evening. Enjoy browsing through this cheeky chilly engagement session!

A Sunset/Campfire Engagement

Dinah was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Colorado. She's a lovely spirit and a fellow photographer. I've always enjoyed our conversations and inspiring ideas for new art. Dinah is someone who needs a partner who encourages that artistic flow and supports her passion for photography as well as painting. Steve entered her world. You could tell from the way her eyes lit up that he was quite a catch. Steve seems to bring Dinah a little closer to the ground and she lights up his life with her beautiful energy. We began our session at Sapphire Point near Breckenridge, CO for sunset and later headed to their house for steaks and smores. The stars were so pretty and we played around with the fire to capture a few nighttime shots. The evening ended with warm drinks, hugs, and smiles. I loved getting to work with these friends and capture their personality together. Please enjoy looking through their photos!

Midnight Full Moon Climb

I drove up the pass from Denver to spend the night camping in the mountains with friends. We hiked up at midnight, climbed in the light of the full moon, and gathered around the fire to stay warm. We caught up on life, talked about Jesus, and laughed about how strange our paths are weaved into this tapestry of humanity. There are some days that I awake, uncertain of what life may hold for me. I'm extremely thankful for these moments with friends when fear of the unknown is banished and I'm filled with encouragement and love. Nights like these remind you when you're doubting that you matter, especially to Him who keeps the Universe stable.

Celynn & Ryan

Celynn and Ryan had a small wedding planned at Sapphire Point near Breckenridge, CO. Family and a few friends had made the trek to watch these two incredibly loving people vow their lives to one another. It had been warm the entire week and thankfully we were blessed with another incredible bluebird sky and sunny afternoon. The ceremony was short and sweet and we were able to take our time with photos on the beautiful trails running around the mountain overlook.
